July!

We've continued to enjoy lots of summer fun. Here Connor is having some yummy corn on the cob. It's one of his favorites- he's also found out how much fun it is to have a fire in the fire pit and fix hot dogs and roast marshmellows. We all love it- especially the yummy 'smores - "I eat it like a sandwich!"
We went to Springfield for Connor's 2 year check up. He's doing great- 29 lbs. and almost 3 ft. tall. 50th % in weight and 75th% in height- he should be 6 ft. tall and pretty thin if things keep up as projected. As usual he talked a ton in the doctor's office and we were told, "he's very articulate" goes right along with the 6 month check up when he said, "wow, he's pretty verbal." In other words- it's rarely quiet around our house!!
After his appointment we ran some errands around town including a haircut at cookie cutters. He did great- used the clippers and everything- of course what's not to love about sitting in a race car, watching Dora, enjoying a sucker, with someone blowing bubbles.....
....and an awesome slide to go down when you're done!
Lunch at Chedders- yum.
We went to a Springfield Cardinals game (Colin's father's day gift). Connor loved it- especially all the food.
Before the game- "cheese"
Mmm.....cracker jacks!
Let's go cards!

It was great weather- look, we're even wearing jackets!
We spent the night and then the next day Connor got to use his new Diego "backpack"!

Enjoying some Flavor Ice with daddy!
Working hard shucking corn- Connor is great at this- he tells you, "take off the green and put it in the bag"-

This past weekend Uncle Carter came to visit. We went to dinner at Sybils to celebrate our 7th anniversary. Connor loves the bread and ice cream at Sybils (so does his mom)!
Then Kyle's 3rd birthday party. Connor decided that he now wants to be three too- throws a fit if you tell him he has to be two.
Getting ready for cake- note all the little hands getting ready to swipe the cake- they all got a good taste of icing before it was over- you can see Connor going in for his part in the picture-
Waiting is over- yummy cake!
Sunday morning, watching Dora (new favorite) and "drinking coffee" with mommy-
Handy Manny on the run, going to "fix it"-

Connor takes pictures of himself- I have about 20 more like this one!
4th of July- fireworks with Daddy- snakes are his favorite but he loves them all! When I came out he was in this corner and told me, "stay back!" That's my boy!
4th of July party at the Morris house-
Chilling in their pool-

Playing on the iphone-
Back in the pool for round 2 (actually round 3 that day- we'd been in Paw Paw's pool in the morning). Chatting with daddy-
Singing and dancing- this time we skipped the shorts and just went in the swim diaper-
Connor was the second to last one in the pool- we could not convince him to get out- Belle was the only one that outlasted him!
Kickin it with his buddy Mason-

2nd Birthday Party!

Connor turns two on June 22! We celebrated with family on the 21st (since that was when I started pushing after all). It was a great day with the Fortuna crew coming into town and Aunt Vicki stayed to join in on the fun. Thanks so much to everyone for coming to share in Connor's special day- he had a blast!! And thanks to Uncle Carter and Uncle Chip who came down earlier in the weekend to see Connor and celebrate- you missed a great party!
