Thanksgiving 2009
Thanksgiving was a great time! We had a wonderful trip visiting family and catching an awesome football game. Connor had been looking forward to this for weeks. He was anticipating his "little vacation" which means he gets to stay in a hotel and spend lots of time with mom and dad!
Starting Wednesday, Connor went Christmas shopping with me at the lake. We don't do "Black Friday"- instead we hit the early sales on Wednesday before Thanksgiving at the lake- great deals!
Quick stop by dad's office-
Lunch at Little Rizzo's- mmmmm chocolate milk!

And a stop by to see Ma and everyone at Fortuna after our full day of shopping! Connor is sitting in "Pops chair from when he was a little boy."
Thanksgiving day- lunch at Fulton- Connor playing with his cousin Elizabeth (what a doll!)-
Connor had a great Thanksgiving meal- he ate a lot- off of my plate!! We did discover that Connor does NOT like pumpkin pie!! He'll take his cool whip straight up and plain!
Telling Carter (our great-nephew) what's up-
Playing with his cousin Harrison in the secret toy room-
Again, serious discussion with Carter-
The Long Family-
On to Columbia for some swim time at Stoney Creek-
Love it!!!!

The next day, not so excited to get measured by Truman-

And on to Kansas City- another hotel (this one without a pool)- and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory- yummy!
With a view of the plaza lights-
MU v. KU-
All year long Truman never comes near us at the football games. The first one that Connor doesn't go to and look who comes by to say hi!
Awesome seats- look beyond the golden girls to see the game-winning field goal!
And "Spoon" the new flag boy!
Finally the trip home- first time with headphones- Hallelujah- no more Dora for mom and dad!!
