On the move...

Well, almost. Connor is sitting up really well and that helps him enjoy playing with his new toys.

He really wants to crawl but everything isn't working together quite yet. His main motivation is trying to chase Tiger around. He gets down on his hands and knees and moves everything as fast as he can. It won't be long! Mom is hoping that he waits until Dad can put some weight on his foot before we're too mobile.

Connor now gets to go grocery shopping with mom. This is a picture of his first trip to pick up supplies for our New Years Day/Cotton Bowl brunch.

Connor's cousin Harrison came to visit this weekend. Connor was VERY interested in Harrison. Harrison was VERY interested in Tiger and Tiger LOVED the treats that Harrison fed him.
Think Connor's jealous of Dad's attention to Harrison?

My First Christmas

Connor had a very exciting Christmas. He was a natural at opening his presents and got lots of great stuff. He got to practice twice before Christmas morning- once at Versailles and once in Fortuna. By Christmas morning he was ready to go! That didn't last too long and he had to take a nap before finishing opening his gifts.
Two days after Christmas he had his 6 month check up where he weighed in at 19 lbs. and is now 27 inches long.

First present on the 23rd at Versailles:

Quick update on dad and his ping pong injury:
After surgery on the 18th and getting his cast on the 31st he is doing much better. He'll be on crutches with the cast and no weight on it until January 31. Then the cast comes off and he'll get a boot. Everyone went back to work today so hopefully the time will go by quickly and he'll be back on his feet (and changing diapers) in no time!

All I want for Christmas... (6 Months Old!)

Connor already has two teeth on the bottom but is working on getting the top two in by Christmas. He is six months old today and it's been a long time since the last post but life has been exciting around here.
The most excitement has been a result of Colin breaking his ankle. A week ago Colin was playing ping pong when he slipped and broke three bones in his ankle. This past Tuesday he had surgery and will now be on crutches for about 12 weeks total. The first six are non-weight bearing with a cast that we'll get in two weeks. Connor got to spend the night at his Uncle Carter's house while dad had surgery and he did great! He is a great traveler.
We got a new camera to replace the old one that couldn't hold a charge. Just in time for Christmas!
This month he continues to try out new foods. As a special treat for his 6 month birthday he tried bananas tonight. He enjoys all of his food but sweet potatoes are definitely his favorite.
Enjoying his peas.

Some carrots.

Feeding himself some sweet potatoes tonight.

Connor's also been busy this month going to his first basketball game. His friends from New Orleans came up to visit and he took them to a basketball game. It was great- so much to look at. So much in fact that he fell asleep during the second half.

Connor has also been to the high school band and choir concerts. He really enjoys the concerts and sits very intently listening to the performances.

Happy Holidays!

Just a couple of pictures from last week when we had our Christmas photos done. Connor really liked the girls taking his pictures as you can see from all the dimples he put on display!

Go Tigers!

Another great weekend to be a Tiger! Connor's two favorite football teams (MU and WHS) had big wins.
Mom's camera went out at the big game but luckily our friend Chris is always prepared. Here is Connor and mom watching Waynesville win the Class 5A State Football Championship game! Connor slept through the first 3/4 of the game on Grandpa and then woke up just in time to see the tigers pull ahead and win. He then got to watch the end of MU's big win over KU and spent the night in St. Louis.

This is another great picture from Chris. Mom, Dad and Connor at the Homecoming game this year.

Below are two pictures that I forgot to include in the Thanksgiving post. Connor was enjoying his Thanksgiving book at Aunt Trudy's.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm five months old now and I celebrated by going to my first Thanksgiving dinner. We traveled to Fulton for dinner at Daddy's Aunt Trudy and Steve's place. It was a great visit and a wonderful time with family.

Thanksgiving wears me out.....looks like a quiet ride home!

To celebrate his 5 month birthday mommy made Connor green beans. Connor was not a fan of the green beans and we failed to capture the disgust he displayed on camera. He did have a great dinner of oatmeal using his special Thanksgiving Day bib that says, "My little Turkey."

Connor spent Friday relaxing and laying around watching everyone decorate the house for Christmas. Tomorrow is another big travel day as we head for the Dome in St. Louis to watch Waynesville play for the state football championship!

Celebrate!

Connor's been preparing all week to go celebrate this weekend. It's back to KC- mom's friend Kate is getting married! Not to mention two more exciting football games this weekend for both of Connor's Tiger teams.

Caught in the act! In case anyone wondered what Grandpa and Connor do all day when mom and dad are at work--

Last weekend at Columbia Connor had a great time tailgating, hanging out at Uncle Carter's house and then celebrating an MU win. Although I think he grew tired of his car seat. Grandma caught these happy faces-

Connor wanted to wish his Daddy a Happy Birthday this week-
